Happy People

Postby Camp Director » Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:33 am

According to this article, the happiest people live in:
1-Minnesota
2-Utah
3-Hawaii
4-California
5-Nebraska

The bottom five:
46-Arkansas
47-Alabama
48-Louisiana
49-Oklahoma
50-West Virginia

Agree? Disagree?

Me...I've lived in NE, HI, GA and WA. I have to agree with NE being in the top five. Life is easy here. No earthquakes, forest fires or hurricanes. Only tornadoes, blizzards and emigrants from CA to worry about.

I wonder if they base their findings on economic statistics?

In my opinion, Money ≠ Happiness.

The problem with these kinds of lists is what metrics they use to determine and define "Happy". Figures don't lie, but liars can figure...
Big Government and Big Business are both very bad for freedom.

I'm very happy in California now.

My mother in law just left our house after Thanksgiving dinner.

The only time Zonies (Def: AZ residents) are happy is when the thermometer hits 90 for three days in a row, and all the snowbirds make a hasty retreat.

I love it in WV.
If others hate it, they should just leave instead of pissing and moaning about it.
Makes the land cheaper for me and I don't like being surrounded by stupid people anyway.

I've still got family in Kanawha County...my last time there was back in 2004, so I'm trying to at least do a quick trip there in conjunction with a moto trip late this spring. :letsfide

My wife has never been there.

It's quite different, that's for sure.
I'm in Preston Co, about 40 minutes north of Davis. If you get up that way give me a shout, I might know of a good road or two.
