Interesting... the two cans are different recipes...

The first can white/classic is the 'export' recipe (4% alcohol), the latter tin is 4.9% (the original recipe we are used to).

BTW the shop workers there think I like the stuff, going in twice in a couple of days to buy single tins of fosters :yelrotflmao

p.s. yum beer-batter chips!

I don't know a damn thing about making Fish & Chips but I do know a thing or two about beer. Made a Belgian Dubbel, a Old Rasputin clone and a Coffee & Cream Oatmeal Stout for WARPED this year. All well above 5%. The Old Rasputin is above 10%.

Yep, love those strong ones. My all-time favourite beer is 10% + and unobtainable... limited annual production from Quebec.

Wow, like some novelty can. That is a bargain + as you say perfect size for cooking.

We get those cans here - with German or Japanese beer.

p.s. try making bread with beer instead of water :thumb

I think the oil can is 32oz

Last time I checked, the Fosters we get in the States is made in Canada. So its fake and I wont drink it.
I no longer drink Bass since its brewed in Kentucky. Super lame.
Even some Guinness is brewed in Canada.
I rail against swill but Labatt Blue is my garage cleaning beer.
Looking forward to my planned trip to Vermont in my Westy. Some great beer in Vermont right now (though Heddy is MASSIVELY over-rated) Hoping to also go into Canada.

Serious question.

What do Canadians/Americans think of "Moosehead" (from Canada)?
