I'm re-learning to weld. Used to have a license ages ago and never used it.
What I re-learned today is that welding gives you a bad sunburn, blisters on your fingers and burnt toes. Tomorrow I should wear more than just shorts and crocs.
Party on Wayne. Party on Garth.

The GS's work for us but I'm not brand loyal. Don't care.
Of all the Inmates who have stayed with us here on their way to South America, only the Wee Stroms carried on with little fuss. The '14 KTM 1190 that was here last week had so much warranty work done with more needed. He camped out in my new shop after the workers cleared a spot. It was a roof over his head, bike stayed in the rain. Says he drank away his hotel budget the previous night. His inner KLRista wanted out......
Why do people with limited mechanical skills ride such big bikes south of the US? They need a crew to pick it back up when things get ugly and are oblivious to the bike's weaknesses.
The KLR's break a lot but that's because:

Worst thing was almost running out of gas in TX. It was a good trip.
boy howdy I can relate! We were riding the TAT back from CO to here, and right at the NM and OK line, I ran out of fuel..40 miles from Guymon OK. The two other guys I was with had the big 6.5 gal tanks and we found an old mason jar and proceeded to bleed one of the tankers. We put abt one gal of gas in the old XR. I average abt 35-40mpg on the old thumper and when we got to Guymon to gas up, I put 4.3 gal of gas in that 4 gal tank!
