We are 82* today That's hot for us

Up here in Pinedale Wyoming and we are having thunderstorms every day, heck of a hail storm on Friday, just sprinkles today.
Having a good trip, more later.

So for the first of Fall, it's stated to cool down around here. We went up into the Sacramento Valley near Marysville yesterday and it was a great day with the weather, slight breeze, around 81, but lots of haze and smoke from the fires up in Northern California.
Last night was cool her with a breeze, slept good until 5:00Am when I puled the comforter up around me. It was nice, slept great until 7:00 AM.
Rain expected tomorrow night, not much, but a chance.

We were supposed to be cool this week but the high pressure over the top of us won't let it happen..upper 80s and maybe a 90 or two for us this week. My little hummers are moving on tho, they know it's coming. I was making bird soup three times a day a couple weeks ago. Now I am down to making 4 cups every other day

Heat wave this last week, 96-98 degrees (F) but only reached 84 today with 70 forecast for tomorrow and a 50% chance of rain.

It was 36F Friday night here. The diesel glow plugs came on Saturday morning. Winter must be on the way.

We are 35* now this morning have the fire going..
Been working on fire wood.. It's so lonely , Charlie and the pastor was here Sat. and fell 4 trees 3 huge ones.
They cut the big stuff up left the tops for me , But I have been splitting and stacking it all.
Nice dead ash trees.. Have a few fellas coming Sat again I fear the rain will put a damper on that.
We shall see..

been nice and cool here too. I have enuff firewood to last me maybe 3 yrs, if it doesnt rot before I can use it that is

38 * this morning..
my stove fan shit yesterday . First the bearing went then the fan fins started to hit .
So I have to order a motor today for the stove.. 254 bucks ! OUCH ..

I just can't catch a break..
Did I tell ya'll I called the VFD here last Tuesday ? Yeah the dishwasher's motherboard fried. stunk the house up .
I threw the breaker as soon as I smelled if. Thank goodness it's on it's own..
Charlie had a 2021 sitting in the dry shed.. He gave it to me and installed it ..took him 3h to install...
It's in and runs good..

Have a great group of mates stop by Sat and helped get a few more things ready for winter..
We worked on the shop. And 2 others cut firewood . And they brought me an early Secret Santa gift !

All I can say is damn good thing I'm strong....

All equipment is in the shop.. Just a trial, To see what will work better.
I can even get the plow on the quad if needed..
For now this will work..

Out for our walk this morning and my phone lights up with an "Emergency Alert! Earthquake Detected ! Drop, Cover, Hold On. Protect Yourself."

Funny, never felt a thing. Look it up, 4.1 quake that was 40 miles away.

All this technology constantly trying to freak us out everyday.

Off to a plumbing project and reality.

It was pretty cold yesterday morning about 30* had a good layer of frosty white on the ground.
It's 35* this morning...

Rain this last weekend, sunny this week with a cooling pattern.
Maybe some more rain this weekend too.

Cold is on the way..rumor of freezing rain sunday nite..

It's a balmy 60* this morning..
A tad depressing out, a the trees are about 7/8 bare or more of foliage..
I put 2 wagon loads of leaves in the tater patch.
I still need to mow more with the Honda.
I think I'm done with the JD but not sure .
I never brush hogged this year . I can't get that big thing on by myself.
This will be an issue I see... As well as the big tiller ...

Woke up early this morning, wind event here with red flag warnings.

Laid in bed listening to the wind howl for a while, then decided I could do this with a cup of coffee in my hand.

Got up and checked the weather station info up on the peak of Mount St. Helena, 60 MPH wind with 69 MPH gusts.
