ADV Banned Camp

no more tent camping for me..I can't get up off the ground. I would just lay and waller in a puddle of piss all nite

Now I camp in a hammock..

Went back to the Orthopedic guy today. It's been 3 months since my last visit. I kinda got hung up in Florida nearly two months longer than I planned. But I got a lot done so I can't complain.
It's been six months since the injury, the knee aches, but the sharp pains are greatly reduced. I can go up one flight of stairs, in the normal manner, then the pain starts. Same with walking, about 150 yards before the pain starts.
I told this to the doc and he says, "Do you think you need an operation?"
Hell, I don't know. I'm now scheduled for an MRI next week. At least we might be able to see what exactly happened and if it's worth fixing.

I went on for years with various knee issues and treatments. It was totally up to me. My Meniscus was totally gone. I was bone on bone. Once the pain got to the trigger point for me I told the DR it was time. They said OK good. Let's get you scheduled. It took another 9 months to get both my knees replaced.
Best thing I have done.
It is very personal decision for sure. We each have our own level of tolerance.

HB has bad knees .
But he will NOT get them looked at .
That's just how he is . He has a bullet in one ,and football injury to the other.

He has to be very careful when he walks on uneven ground..

I can't believe how bad I let it go before finally surrendering to reality.
It was going to a 2 week boot camp that I couldn't really do all the activities that pushed me over the edge. Realizing how much of life I was missing out on due to the knees.

But at his age , he said no way no how.
He doesn't go to Dr.'s No if's and's or butts.
I barely get him to go to an eye dr.

Your eye doctor uses stirrups?

Well, winter is back.
Went from 60s and sunny, to 50s and rainy, to 30 and snow/high winds.

Of course the power went out last night as soon as the wind started, I didn't even start the generator.
We just went to bed.

we do it that way here in the Ozarks too

Power out for me as well, last night. We had 3 -8 inches of very wet snow. Lights flickered for a few minutes, then gone. Back up this afternoon. Supposedly, some transformer about a mile away popped.

We lucked out ..
Very windy, just a few flurries .
The sun was out today but cold and windy.

Today was a sunny autumn ('fall') day here. 98.6 in farenheit.

I have always loved going under the knife. It is the closest thing to death that you can experience while being alive!
