Apparently there are southern and northern varieties of the Nightingale Wren... I found two different looking birds, but in some descriptions they were both called 'southern'. I guess there's also adult / juvenile, and male / female, colour differences.
Then I got really confused, with some websites claiming the southern variety was also called 'scaly-breasted'
Therefore in my clumsiness and ignorance of wrens, I present two birds and note that either, both or none may be correct...
