I posted the above in the post any pic you want thread and my site wide ban was over Sunday.

So I go to check in and I can see that thread but my posting “privileges” are banned until March 2024

It woulda been nice if my permaban for Dickish Behavior allowed me to log it and check my alerts and messages for a while.

I just got a 30 day ban for "mod baiting again". All I said was the mods are a bunch of snowflakes (which of course, they are!).

ADV Mods are NOT snowflakes! Everyone who ever crossed a path with such a MOD knows that they are WOKE ASS DORKS!

I'd love to hear more about the rumor Cumshot got his pee pee slapped. Of course any normal volunteer mod would just say fuck it.

Just got another site ban for a couple of words suggesting a sexual practice. But at least the mod took the time to explain, rather than just leaving me hanging and guessing at what I might have done "wrong" this time.

But I've put in my full 20, so maybe it's time to retire with full pension benefits!

A lot easier to do this time around. I'm slowly realizing that part of my on-going participation is my continuation of a 20-year relationship, and also partly because there remain a few inmates who occasionally amuse or enlighten me. But I do realize that if present-day ADV had been this Puritanical from the beginning, I never would have stuck around so long.

I'll probably still visit once my ban is lifted, just to touch base with a few ADV amigos, but probably won't post/participate much any longer. I'm pretty sure tho that Rudy and at least one particular mod will not mourn my passing ... AT ALL!!!

So, as a n00b to this site, I'll kinda feel my way around for a while, and see if I think I can contribute and gain from the participation. If it's all gonna be allowing the loss of all that once was ADV to live rent-free in my head, then this would not be the best place for me to be.

That kinda chat only happens in a few threads. Kinda like getting dumped by a woman. Occasionally bitching about it helps the healing. I admit I'm still pissed but it's cuz I was not allowed to walk away, I was carried out for far less then some get a slap on the wrist.

My problems started after the regime change when I got cross-wise with a couple of the mods (both women AFAIK) wrt their posts as non-modding thread comments. Back in olden times very few of the volunteer mods would use bullying threats to get their way in a thread disagreement, but that seems to be more and more prevalent.

And yeah, as I tried to rein myself in to conform to the new "realpolitik" of ad revenue generation, coupled with the Puritanical strictures of acceptable content, any slight heterodoxy results in swift smiting. I've been on triple-secret probation for years, so I can't get away with even half of what appears to be tolerated from others.

One thing I must be careful about in this place is looking at threads with NSFW content, as I'm in my corner chair at my local while I browse, and as I'm a well-known presence here, a lot of folks drop by to chat. Wouldn't want to freak out the civilians.

Yeah, Life's a beach but not all the puppies are free. You could get yourself into a situation at the local watering hole.
