ADV Banned Camp

I use to contribute several times a year out of appreciation. I haven't sent a dime since the ads started a few years ago. I have to wonder what $ Baldy got for the sale of it.

I used to contribute but by no means often or regularly. But when they introduced ads and supporter I was happy to pay $49/year. I didn’t want ads and I was willing to pay for the experience. Just like a magazine or newspaper. If it’s worth the price I’ll pay. But after the permaban I cancelled my subscription. Guess they didn’t need the $49.

I don’t get people that were willing to send money but refused to subscribe and would rather run ad blockers.

Anyway, I am not going to let it ruin my holiday. I am in Algiers today and tomorrow the first stop in a four week ride around NW Africa to Dakar with a group of friends.

I'm not sure how much Rudy paid Baldy for the place, but Rudy made out like a bandit when he sold the place to VertScrote.

I've read that in years past, VS paid some pretty respectable amounts for other popular forums.

The one closest to me is closing. The one a little further away had downsized alot of the good stuff and was selling fairly weird stuff, TM’s, patches, cold weather gear, etc. kind of strange being next to an Air Force Base in OKC.

MilSpec used to be good stuff you couldn’t get anywhere else. Now there is so much faux military clothing you can get new & cheap online.

We had a great place back in PA.. Well they were in Port Jervis NY..
All old WW1 and 2 and Nam.. Stuff.
At awesome prices...
