boy howdy I can relate! We were riding the TAT back from CO to here, and right at the NM and OK line, I ran out of fuel..40 miles from Guymon OK. The two other guys I was with had the big 6.5 gal tanks and we found an old mason jar and proceeded to bleed one of the tankers. We put abt one gal of gas in the old XR. I average abt 35-40mpg on the old thumper and when we got to Guymon to gas up, I put 4.3 gal of gas in that 4 gal tank!bluestar wrote: Worst thing was almost running out of gas in TX.
