I am back...not that anyone noticed that I was gone...

Couple weeks ago, I spilled coffee on my kybrd and my little lap top hated it. Could not type a legible sentence. So off to the pooter Dr for repair. They broght back to life the kybrd, BUT, my number keys are toast as with my TAB key and my arrow keys...sux, but they only charged me fifty bucks to do that. I had to enable my onscreen kybrd to have access to numbers and other kybrd functions. I can make this work for as long as I need to before sinking close to two grand into a new MAC..I know y'all missed me.


BTW, LadyD, I am up to maybe forty hummers, maybe more now...they all flew in late one nite last week

Cool on the Hummers we finally have about 6 now.. But with this cold snap hmmm

Bob the Bobwhite is doing good he has a few not so close friends that he doesn't like I can feed him from say
1.5 ' away now it so cool..

Hey Doc I could swear you had kept posting, damn.

Re your Mac I did the same, killed 2 x macbooks with drink spills into the keyboards. I did one, the cat did the second.

My solution was to go for an iMac - the computer bit is up behind the monitor, only the stand is on the desk. Safe from coffee! And keyboards are cheap to replace once they're not part of a laptop.

I saved a fortune by buying the store demo iMac and agreeing to no warranty. I didn't care what was in the HDD as I restored timemachine from my laptop anyway.

I admit to thinking real hard on this imac thing. I want one and that is a fact. The hard part would be having to sit in the office first thing in the morning after for so many years, f coming into the front room and plopping my lil narrow ass in my easy chair and putting my macbook on my lap. Sitting up right in my office chair hurts me after abt twenty minutes so morning internet would not be as enjoyable as it is now. Super convenient to have a lap top. Not so much tho when I spill shit into it tho.

My office pooter is an old windows XP and dreams of replacing it with imac are real. I may pull that trigger soon tho, but I still hafta have a laptop
