ADV Banned Camp

Buddy just sent me this that lives south east of Tampa. They fared very well through the hurricane and only had minimal damage to trees and fences.
This area on the other hand... Did NOT do so well.

I've been travelling and haven't seen the news. Hopefully everyone evacuated?

Living on an Island in my youth, I remember 'canes very well. Scary shite .

I'll post while the power is still on....

Big storm hitting the west coast, and it has rained off & on all day. Now the major portion of the front has made it to us and we have 14-25 MPH winds with gust to 45. Power lines out back are swinging and swaying hitting each other and providing a huge light and arc show.
They've closed the gates to the flood bypass road and are expecting the Napa River to flow into the bypass at anytime. (long story there)

We are prepared and have the generator ready to go, food, some beer, and about 18 bottles of wine.
Camp stove and propane are ready, and we have plenty of flashlights & batteries.

Just talked to our daughter who is trying to get to the beach house they rented months ago for vacation. Multiple trees down on Highway 1, and the power is out up there.

Glad I'm home.

Power is still on here, daughter is going on the second night of no power while on her "vacation adventure". Raining again, a break in it expected tomorrow but more on the way.
BUT...... Last week was something around here.
New Years Day, winter, and we see this driving around.



Now it's mud for as far as you can see.

We got snow in the forecast for the next couple days..two reasons to like snow:

1: It is pretty to see

2: My solitude is Guaranteed!

It's 28* here, they say snow showers today

It was about 30c here today [86f].
