Re: What Are We Eating?
We had guinness pie down at the club, with glasses of guinness to wash it down.
No pics as we ate/drank it all

When travelling, it's important to sample the local cuisine...

Not in Oz! More like $1450 a plate! When I was there, it was really easy to spot the tourists. They were the oversized ones. The food was too expensive for locals to eat a lot.
As I’m not a mutton fan, I managed to lose weight while there. A “lamb dog” (as opposed to a hot dog was a very strange and almost vomit inducing experience.
I’ve heard this has all changed since.

Re: What Are We Eating?

Actually it was pretty good value... we had 4 mains, 1 side, 2 desserts, 3 cappuccinos, 2 soft drinks, and 4 wines... under Aud $200 [US $130] for the lot

Re: What Are We Eating?
This morning the my children wanted to be fed at about 3.30am. Cook left something in the refrigerator resembling a creamy carbonara sauce. I made thin omelettes and folded the topping in. The little ones are great with good food, they don't want junk and they just destroyed them. I made a dessert of frozen stone fruit and berries with a dollop of plain yoghurt before they went back to bed.
And this morning I have #1 daughter (19yo) and some of her friends helping.... It is nearly breakfast and I hear movement and smell sausage cooking.

With four hungry children? Five now with the oldest home, plus a few of her friends.
This morning's 3am feeding was grilled cheese and tomato on rye. Grilled cheese and vegemite.... You've never seen it disappear so fast.
Breakfast was Jambalaia on toast.
