Well lets see, got 6" of heavy ass snow yesterday.
Brings my total to 36"

And lost a heifer calf, She was born late afternoon during the storm.
When I checked on her and mum, She was just born.
So I gave it an hour ,went back and still hadn't gotten up.
When I checked again mum had left!
So I carried the calf to the hay barn ,to get it out of the snow.
And the gates were high enough that IF she made it she could toddle under them.
I had hayed the herd by the barn.
Got the calf in there ,she was tiny. maybe 50lbs. This morning she was still right where I laid her..
She never got up.. This is the part of farming I f*cking hate..
I couldn't dig a hole, so I had to take her to an area , we call the offering area..
I hated to do that, but what was I ta do...

At least the bull calf that was born the other day is doing well,so far...

Can't really "like" that post.
Condolences on the calf, it's hard to watch that.

I know I for one sometimes hit the like , just meaning I read it...

3" of snow last night . That makes the season up to 39"
I plowed the driveway. Just in case it warms up.
They are calling for a good snow dump for the weekend

It's 67 degrees here. Light wind and the seas are relatively calm. Traveling to our first stop of Kona, Hawaii at 19.5 miles per hour. Luckily we purchased the drink package. Although we are limited to just 14 drinks a day and the unused amount does not carry over. :(

Nothing like forced drinking!

Another beautiful day at sea. Light winds and very calm seas.



Spent the morning walking on the jogging track. The temperature is about 70 today. Spotted the Starlink dishes. Six on a side for great internet. Much better than the last technology.

And I just prepped for 8"-12" of snow...
I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

More rain expected tomorrow. Only a little, so that's nice.

Well so far we are at 46" of Snow for the season.
Yesterday was sunny. So much more stuff has happened since I last posted.

I worked in the garden today, pulling the rest of the earth steeples and made a pile for burning.

It's 12* this morning...At least no snow ..
March kind of came in like a lamb..
It was windy all day yesterday.
Robins, young Baldy's ,and other spring birds are abound!

Supposedly, this cat-2 cyclone is going to veer into the coast in the next day or so...
