It was 38* @ around 3:30 this morning with rain ,It's now 42*

didja have a fire in the stove this mornin? It's been cool here but not cold enuff to get a fire goin..still got wood in the box tho. (gawd that sounded dirty..LOVE IT!)

Of course , have had a fire in the stove since Oct ! LOL

Out of wood, went up the road to a friends and got some free wood.
I did my best to pick better wood that was a tad dryer, my friend kept pulling the wood out of the mud !
So they are soaked through and through with dirt and rocks stuck to it. Shakes head ,as it was a waste of energy .
They have an out door furnace , you can throw nasty wood in it. No worries of flue fires.
What a waste , as I can't burn it in the stove.. Plus I have to cut all the pieces in to thirds.
That gives ya and idea how long the logs are.

But it was nice of them letting us get some wood.
I had my neighbor get my saw started, I did cut on that trailer load the other day.
He said he'll get my saw going tomorrow for me , and I'll get more of that stuff cut up...

Sorry for dumping .. But things have NOT been good ..
That's all I'll say for now.

Yep..if only we were closer, I got LOTTSA Wood! And much more to cut and bust, and of course, since I have a wood stove, it is all cut to the right length and split to where you can pick from fire starters to all nighters..and as you also know, as we age, gathering firewood isn't as fun as it was when we were younger and more able to do so.

Since my saw had been rebuilt 2x I can now never get it started..
I use to be able in 2-4 pulls.. Now I just flood the dang thing..

I still like cutting and all that goes with it.. I have no issues getting the splitter going or anything else that uses a pull..
But the weed whacker I can't get them f*ckers to start as well.. And they too have been rebuilt a few times.

Oh there is snow on a few hard areas that are off the ground Like the genny box, and all the metal roofs ...
The ground is too warm.. Thank Goodness .

And it's snowing.. Oh god I hope I don't have to screw with the plow... It's 28*

56 degrees, but with 30 MPH winds and 58MPH gusts over the local peaks. 1.28" of rain in the last 24 hours with small stream flooding, and flood warnings up for the entire San Francisco Bay Area.
Santa Cruz Mountains have been pounded with mud slides, flooding, and power outages.

Just had some of my old co-workers from the Fire Department here because the power lines in the backyard are arcing. We were standing under the patio cover and they started arcing right in front of them.

"See! I'm not making it up!"
We all laughed and they headed out for the neighbors place.

We are at 22* right now and 30 MPH winds and blowing snow

Power crews are out fixing the lines, power is out, generator is running, and cooked dinner on the camp stove in the garage.
Life is good.

I have always said that there are two things that people need, Tires and toilet paper..now I have to add one more item, electricity

Ugh I have had a molar removed today..
Like I needed this ... It had a crown placed on it 16yrs ago..
It had just started to light me up when food touched it, But floss, and brushing didn't bother it.
I thought it was just a lose crown.. X-rays showed that wasn't the case..
Root canal really wasn't a choice, Not much bone holding it. But enough that they had Surgically remove.

And I didn't get any good drugs ! Oh well

FUCK! I feel for ya gurl! Because of some meds that I am on, I have had a couple of my teeth break and dissolve off at the gum line. My Dr says that an oral surgeon will have to do the extractions, BUT, I am such a high risk that it may not be an option. They are not bothering me too much. I seem to be tolerating it well. Any teeth pulling sux as we all know. I often think back to the pioneer days and how those people suffered with dental issues.

They just numb me good.. Was in and out of the chair 45 min to an hour.. Not bad .
He is very good. Never felt a thing just a little pressure and crunching.
He used the drill to get that other root out. That's what they call surgical removal ..
Just a way to get a few more $$ , It was still under 2 Hundred bucks...
LOL That I didn't really have.. Oh well...
