I need some ideas.

You get home & need a decent dinner but you're lazy, exhausted or both.

Share your tricks for sub-5-minute lazy cooking. :DukeGirl

The stir fry is an option, requires pre-thought (e.g. something suitable in the fridge/freezer).

I might have to adjust my shopping.

my stir fry takes at least 30 minutes...how is it that in the stir fry world that stir fry only takes 5 minutes on your stove? :eek

I cube boneless chicken, cook till done, maybe 10-12 min..add MANY vegie's! Simmer abt 15 minute or until tender..while thats cooking, I boil up some ramen noodles..drain..get some olive oil good and hot, throw the noodles in and turn often! :DukeGirl

Without Lady D's 'magic stove' this is why stir fry would need prep.

The 5-minute target is a tough one, I know.

I can do eggs with baby spinach in 5 minutes, or cheese on toast, but am looking for more ideas.

Doc what can you cook in 5 minutes?

Grill Cheese ..

Make egg rolls ahead of time ..
and freeze them .. You can pull them out of the deep freeze and in five Min YES you will be eating ..

Cereal loaded .. With nuts , yogurt ,craisins ....WE will eat this when I don't feel like cooking.

variety of flavors in rice and pasta. just add a 5-7 oz can of chicken. takes 10 minutes. all thats needed is a half cup of milk and a little butter. total cost is about 2 and half bux. it really hits the spot for me.
