Total Eclipse of the Sun

Anyone Interested in coming tô Missouri for the Eclipse on 8/21/17. I have plenty of Camping space available and fishing in a well stocked lake. The morning of the Eclipse I will be riding over to my Daughters house near Booneville, Mo because that is dead center of the eclipse. It's a fun ride over there from my place and it should be a pretty good time.
If you want to post this message on ADVrider go ahead, Just don't say who it is from, Or ask a mod if it's Okay, I still have 4 months on my sentence. :letsfide

I would love to be there!

But there's the small problem of 8,962 miles to overcome :wall

Plus my bike would need a really long snorkel to get through the water crossing :lol8

That would be neat to go see, but I have seen eclipse before so, meh... :lol8

Seems this eclipse is suppose to be a big deal tho. I have a friend who is taking her family up there from here (Arkansas) and I informed her that the traffic up there in central MO is gonna be somethin to behold...she says its too late to back out now with all the planning she put in. :ImaPoser

All the hotels in Columbia and surrounding area are either sold out or are jacking the prices way up. Luckily I know the back roads, so traffic should not be an issue.

Here are a few shots I took . Of our 93%..
With an old camera and the viewing glasses.
It took me a while to get the camera and glasses to work..

It's our turn in 2028.

Everyone is welcome - we could camp in the outback away from the crowds. Seriously some of this path will be 500km away from sealed roads or towns.

Everyone is welcome!

If you save up for your flights over the next 11 years, it works out to about $2.50 - $3 per week per person.

This was a pretty one, I don’t think we have any campers living there?
