That looks and sounds incredible. :drool

But, that guy's speech has a really odd cadence. His accent is similar to This Old Tony, but the cadence is... Sorta lopey. :dontknow

Well, here it is another Thanksgiving. All my suggestions for something other than turkey have been shot down. You would think people who don't appear very traditional in shape, matter, or form would be open to different things. Not
the case as far as turkey for Thanksgiving is concerned. It's turkey and nothing other, so just shut up! Sigh!

15 pounder in the fridge soaking in a brine, and plan on putting it on the smoker at 7:00AM tomorrow.
The brine is a poultry rub, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic.

Have a Happy one everybody!!!

I hope you all have a nice day with family and football [based entirely on tv and movies]. Hello from Down Under.

The good folk at RT even wrote an article about your turkey consumption and the resultant electricity impact... seriously click here!

I actually don't mind RT as the bias is very obvious and openly admitted to, something that most news sources can't bring themselves to admit... also when it's not Putin-centric [or the opposite] often the news has an interesting perspective!

It's happened. The whole house smells like cooked turkey.
But, there are 6 pies, 2 apple, 2 cherry, and 2 pumpkin. Looks like I'll make it through this day after all.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Life is short, eat dessert first.

There's a couple pies on the table. This one is jalapeno apple. :DukeGirl A slice of this pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and I am a happy camper.

Happy Thanksgiving campers!

I was truly hoping for an alternative this year.
You know, eat just enough, then stop. :DirtDOG

But nope. :DukeGirl

I kept going back. The smoked turkey turned out great. Then there was that apple pear pie my daughter-in-law made. And the pumpkin pie my wife bought just for me, and my daughter brought a chocolate chip cheese cake, and those little caramel cake acorns.

Next year, yeah......... next year I'll be good. :snowflake

Funniest comment about the food: "I usually don't like squash, but this is absolutely delicious." My father-in-law commenting on the mashed sweet potatoes. :lol8

Happy Thanksgiving campers!
This...I find it easier to throw remaining main meal away than a partially enjoyed dessert.

And NEVER turn down dessert. Think about al the women to turned down dessert the night the Titanic sank. You only live once.

Planning ahead, Thanksgiving will be here before we know it.

And it's 2020, so everything if off the table for "normal".

I suggest ....
