My mother moved into the nursing home today, my rental house has a leaky upstairs bathroom and it's looking like I'll be on the hook for a pile of taxes this year.

Sorry about your Mom.
There's more than a few of us that are caretakers of elderly parents and or inlaws. It seems to be unavoidable once you reach a certain age. Seems everybody I know has a parent that's either dealing with cancer, alzheimer's, parkinson's or other form of dementia. I've never been to as many funerals and wakes as I have in just this past year, my Father's included. You just do what you can day to day. ADV and here are a welcome respite from all of that. We have a couple of spots there for unloading all of that and sharing some of our experiences but the rest is just for cutting loose.

My only reason for posting here was because people were asking about me. As I said, I'm not back on ADV and have no plans on ever going back. I have loads of reasons. As an intensly private person my worst nightmare would be ending up the butt of a joke like a "Don't ride with Nate" type thing. It looks as if that has happened. Whatever. There are two people on ADV who know my name and that's the way I like it. I hope that whatever is going on over there hasn't compromised my privacy in any way.
I've has personal info dragged out me over there and now I've allowed it to happen here. As it is, I'll be back when I get back. ADV will live without me just as I can live without it.
