It's over there, on the left - I see it.

Seriously, one of these days, I need to do that to my hardware cabinet. Forty years of my accumulation, and I can't find shit.

Mine are fairly well sorted. All metric sorted by thread size, but not pitch, length, head type or grade. They are really just a collection of junk bolts a lot older than me.
I keep a good assortment of new bolts on hand.

My workshop area was 300m2 (3200ft2) and it wasn't enough. Now it is nearly 900m2 and it is still not enough!

I find if I’m more organized I need less room.

Getting organized is a much bigger task than I ever anticipate, though!

More than anything I don't like clutter.

I did manage 20 minutes to clean up the clutter in the bay that the bike sits in. It's still not been started in weeks.

The car seat needs to be moved; perhaps tonight as things cool off a bit.

Busy weekend and week. I guess :dontknow

First it started off as an oil change on the KLR.

Image

Then I see the valve cover leaking, but wait, that was a new gasket less than six months ago...........

Image

I'll just tighten the bolt, :eek righty tighty............ :fp ....... nope. It's Lucy

Image

Helicoil that head and get some more miles in.

"OKAY! What's that other leak right there?"

Note to self, order water pump seals.

Image

All back together and the test ride was great that evening. :Clap

I cleaned out my car and garage, trying to neaten things up.

I discovered I have 13 different torches in the car :fp

Changed out the 11-year old radiator hose in the car today, it developed a split and resulting leak.

It took two of us over 2 hours to pull the damned hose off. New one went on in <3 minutes!

Continued "rebuilding" a charcoal carbon canister for my Land Cruiser.
A collective group has been documenting excessive fuel smells, fuel tank pressure, and poor mileage when the canisters get soaked after high miles. (200K +)

Found a free used one, cut off the bottom, refilled with fish tank charcoal, and epoxied it back together.
Letting it setup for 24 hours now. :Snork

Fish tank filter charcoal, Amazon special. I'll be doing a write up for the Land Cruiser forum, so I'll either link it or post it here.

Land Cruiser forum? link?
Here is page two of the thread. One has replaced his with a GM unit, others have rebuilt the factory canister, but it seems to be a common issue. I started having excess fuel tank pressure last year on our road trip to Wyoming. Across the Nevada desert, with a ambient temperature greater than 94 degrees, below 1/2 tank, we started getting fuel vapor smell in the cab. Bleed off from the canister in the engine compartment, and then I'd stop for fuel and unscrew the gas cap, it would vent off the pressure for up to 20 seconds.
:fp

https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/100-se ... 945/page-2

And because of the excess fuel pressure, most have had a decrease in mileage. :patch

Going to try it and see.
Put the last coat of plastic bonder epoxy on today to seal up the canister. :Clap
