Moved a garden fence back..

Sadly, the rum distillery was out of rum :fp

But they did have a nice sour-mash whisky (bourbon?) at a very good price, so we bought one to drink and some for gifts.

They also direct import a french champagne that was pretty good, so we have a bottle of that in the fridge for dinner tonight.

The owners are aiming big... at full capacity they can produce 15,000 bottles per day. I am not involved in drinks manufacturing but that sounds like a lot. They have just started up in recent months so are still building all the equipment etc.

They have taken over an old dairy that shut down a few years back - the building is interesting with most of the old machinery still in place.

Spent the weekend in the Texas Hill country. It was nice, and great to see old friends, but getting down and back is a long damn drive.

Flying home from a job. Visiting a MC dealer to see if he wants to sell a Motorcycle or be stupid and sit on it. Then visiting the kid to to see her new house.
Nice rig danii, I debated on a drivable RV and Towable. I went with a Keystone Toyhauler.

The other day I went to put my baby plants on the genny lid.
I started to hear more creaking ! As you can see in this photo
it was in bad shape and in much needed replacing.
So I started tearing the old plywood roof off.
Got my measurements and off to my scrap pile of metal siding/roofing

Image

The new roof, yes it is an odd colour but I didn't need to trim it much.
Plus it was handier then digging through the pile
The scraps from the wood port were all too short.
Note the curve , yes I did that , as there was always a drip that hit the genny.
So I hope that fixed that issue.
I figured I can always paint it with some kind of metal paint.

Image

And I did add more 2x4 and a center support .
The fun part was using my chainsaw to trim the 2x4 ..
I did that down in the hay barn.
I was really amazed how easy it was to get a straight cut with the chainsaw.
It sure beat getting the genny and the skilsaw and an extension cord.
Hey it's not a piano.. :2funny:

Image

It was nice putting my plants on it and knowing that it will not collapse :cooldude:
