Feeling guilty this week.

Wednesday was 78 here, Thursday it dropped to 76.
Today we woke up to a foggy morning and 42, but now it's cleared off and we're going to a parade ..... and it's 60 degrees.

Eh don't feel guilty , I really don't mind winter,
As long as I can move the snow...Have firewood , and food..
And our summers are nice We never hit 100* or 90* .

Looks like Spring has been put on hold for the moment....................

Well I never want to do that again on the mountain ,ever !
I got lucky didn't hit any trees !
LOL holy crap! What a feeling of complete helplessness.
When I started going up I looked behind me and I saw my tracks so I kept going..
In the snow , but the higher I got , My tracks weren’t breaking through unbeknownst to me.
When I got just a few feet from where I normally park , the quad just started going sideways then backwards !
Then did a spin ,so at least I was now facing ! Finally got it to stop a little sideways.
Spins were 360 and a 180. I felt like I was on aFlying saucer sled LOL
Walked up and cleared the spring... I had to sit and slide back down to the quad.
Sat there a sec and look at my best path down...
Once I get to the middle junction box it was ok the rest of the way..

Yuppers never want to do that again ...

It's 37* and raining .........At least we had a good melt off the last day or so..


Someone was arguing with me that a side-by-side would have been better!
People shouldn't speak unless they know.

My neighbor told me he slid off his hay field in his side-by-side for 40 feet!

He said that a side-by-side would have hit trees and flipped..
Where I go to do the spring ,I have to snake through trees.
That have a 1/2 foot clearance or less...

I just put the plow back on the quad, they atre calling for 6-8" of snow Sunday..
My plow was outside , So I felt might as well stick it on now...

Scattered clouds today and yesterday giving us a break from the rain.

However....
Rain is supposed to start tomorrow night and rain most of the week. Nice that most of the local reservoirs are full, and Lake Berryessa https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Berryessa is getting really close to the spillway going over.

Morning it's 10* It's windy and I can't tell how much snow yet.
It's not what they said so far. That I can tell.
Bud stayed in most of the day yesterday and last night !
He went out when I did the ash, and came right back in and went to the bedroom.

Guilt again.............

Rained stopped yesterday after the "Atmospheric River" must have hit the wrong side of the cloud levy. Less than an inch of rain in the last week after forecasts were for 2-4" here locally. The North Coast got hit hard and Hwy 128 had some mudslides, and Hwy 1 near Fort Bragg is closed due to a slide.
Foggy morning here today and then the sun came out. Looked this afternoon and the temp and it was 76. What a nice day.

Had the grand daughter too and she was awesome.

Our entire country basically got hit with a 'rain event'...

In my area (the coast, south of Sydney) we received 75mm (3") of rain yesterday.

Some places across the outback are getting 1 years' rainfall in 1 day.

For some farmer's it's a godsend, for others it will be devastating.

For the long-distance road train drivers (a 'big rig' towing 3/4/5 trailers), the dirt highways will be impassable for months.

Thanks... all good here - just lots of wet!!

If only governments (of all persuasions) would build dams and make use of this rainfall. Grumble mumble don't get me started.

You have to know the government has no idea WHERE to build a useful dam, so anything they build will only serve to worsen any existing issues.
