Growing up in Nebraska in the late 50s and 60s, the fourth was a time of neighborhood celebrations and picnics. Here is a picture of the neighborhood friends and the annual 4th parade. After this was gunny sack races and other fun events that kept us out of trouble. (most of the time) Then, eat. Hot dogs, baked beans, watermelon and then pies, lots of pies. All made by the neighborhood folks.

1959 (or close) Renault 4cv

Front ends stayed the same for a while, could even be as late as a 62.

And a 1959 Ford Fairlane or Galaxy 500 convertible in the back.



They changed the grille in the early 60's.
