While you're rebuilding... Maybe, just maybe can you turn on the switch so that when I open a thread it goes to the last unread post?
At this time and it was before, Either go to last post or first post. That makes for a bunch of scroll work on long threads.

Today I stumbled across 'quick links' which show all unread/new posts across all threads.

Good try. Thank you. I use that regularly. That shows you the threads. However to get to first unread post of the thread takes going to the first post and then there is a button over by the pages for first unread post. It serves the purpose.

Today, for the first time, when logging in to camp, I was security-checked by' site-lock' or something like that... I had to tick a box to "prove I wasn't a robot".

Hmmm... so I find myself wondering...

What kind of robots want to click into our camp and look at the boobies?

And, perhaps more importantly... what kind of AI robots in 2023 cannot recognise and tick a simple box?

SiteLock is a website monitoring service that alerts me to bad guys attempting to do bad things to the site. I have not seen the security check that you experienced yet.

Here is a list of the bad guys and their IP that tried to hack the site yesterday. They hit the site hundreds of times every day. This is an ongoing issue with all web sites and a constant pain in the butt.

Given that an AI robot apparently cannot put a tick in a tick box... I don't think my job it at risk from 'automation'

This only happens on my older 2019 Mac, running OS 10.14.4 and Safari 12.1... on the newer macbook / 64 bit this never appears, even with the same internet connection.
