perhaps they were lying about the indicated speed and they don't want you spreading their lies..Delicate Snowflake wrote:No idea what's happening - it shows that I do not have permission to view the image from my own post? WTF?
The screenshot originally uploaded showed over 130 Mbps internet speed

I checked each of my routers and they all are capable of gigabit speed. I know some of my cabling is CAT5, so I set out to replace a couple runs. Then I remembered that I had a dumb switch in the basement that I got free from somewhere, somewhen. I checked it and it was only 10/100 mbps. I ordered a replacement.
I got the pieces and parts reset and going and my phone shows the shiny new speed at all access points.
But my computer and NAS did not see the new speed. A little research and I find that both came from the factory with built in 10/100 mbps network ports. So I ordered new cards for both. Ooooh. Shiny!

It's the same RG 6U coaxial cable that they installed back in 2005 when I finally convinced them to run the cable feed two more houses down the road so I could get off dial-up. Beyond that I don't know what their infrastructure looks like.Delicate Snowflake wrote:How do they connect you? 4G? Fibre Optics?
