I'll start.
ALDI keeps a rose wine here for $4.99... it won against the $25 and $35 stuff at the wine shows.

Here is another one of my addictions... I make coffee black and strong, you can almost stand your spoon up in the cup without it falling against the side

Tonight's guilty pleasure... thai red curry...
Note: coconut cream (100% coconut insides) makes you a warrior like a Tahitian from 100 years ago. Just don't add the deep fryer...

You can cook for 1-2 weeks like that, all in a couple of hours.
I know a couple of families that do this every week or two.

You know, there's this new-fandangled whizz-bang invention now that we're in the space age... it's called a "freezer".
Apparently it's useful for keeping food for longer periods of time

Today I took my retired parents to the 'German/Austrian' Club.
An interesting place. They support the local French Society and play Petanque on the grass. The bar (very German/Austrian) runs as a business, pays wages, etc., while the kitchen is staffed by
volunteers using the food sales as a means of fundraising for their local social things and charities.
Volunteers = food cooked just like they used to 'back home' = YUM
I had the goulash, and of course the black forest cake. Entree was deep-fried camembert (an entire round bit, to share).

A new addiction... Shepard Avocados
They are only available for a couple of months, and now is the season!
The rest of the year we get other varieties but this one is the bestest
