Re: Heavenly sights
I’m just off the blue line, but headed to Texas for the eclipse.
Arkansas should have plenty of state areas to park in. That will be the Ouachita mountains area. Mena is an adequate town for supplies.
South east Oklahoma might as well. Talimena drive area

Re: Heavenly sights
Well based on that level of effort, I guess you're not coming here in 2028 then?

Re: Heavenly sights
How the hell can you remember back that far? We had a big event just up the coast from me last year(West Aus), and I cannot even remember what that was(eclipse I think) never mind when that was!

Re: Heavenly sights
Funny you should ask..wx forecast today is CLOUDS!
I am just a few miles north of totality so if I get to see it, it will most likely be a shade or a shadow of sorts..should I have my umbrella handy?

Re: Heavenly sights
A clear day in Walton, NE. Maximum coverage was at 13:53 CST.

Not a complete eclipse for us like the one in 2017. We were in the direct path for that one.
